NORWOOD HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The graduation requirements establish a minimum standard for each department. Students will be challenged to exceed these requirements based upon their individual motivation, goals, and interest. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all requirements for graduation are met. The counselor will assist you. Please note that some specific courses are required in some departments.

b. Mathematics..............................................3 units (Required Courses: Algebra I)
c. Science......................................................3 units (Required Courses: Physical Science, Biology)
d. Social Studies............................................3 units (Required Courses: Am Hst, Govt)
e. Practical Arts..............................................1 unit
f. Fine Arts.....................................................1 unit
g. Physical Education.....................................1 unit
h. Health…………….................………………1/2 unit
i. Personal Finance……………………………1/2 unit

Students planning to attend a post secondary college, university or other training program should be aware that most of post secondary schools have specific admission standards. Students planning to attend a 4-year college or university either in Missouri or out of state will normally be expected to complete course requirements that exceed high school graduation requirements. Students must check with the college of their choice for specific admission requirements.
